Windows Hello is a quick method to sign in to your Windows 10 or Windows 11 computer with a PIN. It works in tandem with other biometric choices like fingerprint scans. A good example of when you might need this tool is if you do classified work from home.

The following steps will show you how to disable the PIN requirement in Windows if you do not value security or do not wish to input a PIN every time you boot your computer.
- Go to Settings and then Accounts
- From the menu (on the left side), click Sign-in options
- Click on Windows Hello Pin and select Remove
You’ll be asked if you would like to confirm this change. You will click on the Remove option. It’s highly recommended not to remove the PIN option, but you should always have the choice.
