If your computer keeps disconnecting from your Wi-Fi network, but other devices can connect just fine, it may be that the network card in your computer is not receiving enough power.
A network card is a piece of hardware that connects computers in a network.
Windows includes an energy-saving mode that immediately lowers network card power consumption. You may be able to disable it. Here’s how to do that:
- Go to the Power Options menu
- Choose the Advanced Settings.
- Click the Wireless Adaptor Settings
- Go to Power Saving Mode
- Choose Maximum Performance
