Helpful Tip: Free Up Space on PC

Media files are the biggest space hogs on a computer’s hard drive. It is suggested to put them away temporarily. Files can be stored in the cloud using OneDrive, a feature built into Windows 10 and Windows 11.

The cloud storage space provided by OneDrive makes it simple to copy large files off your local hard drive and into the cloud, where they can be accessed from any computer with an internet connection. Media items that only sometimes require your attention are ideal candidates for this approach.

Right-clicking a folder or file and selecting “Free up space” can make it invisible on your computer, which is helpful if you’re about to reach your disk space limit.

New Processor Compatibilities on Windows 11

The rigorous system requirements of Windows 11 and Microsoft’s insistence on using only the most recent hardware earned widespread criticism even before the operating system was made available to the public.

According to Windows Latest, many PCs will not be able to acquire an official transition to Windows 11 from previous Windows operating systems. Windows 11 receives regular updates that improve its compatibility with newly released processors, but Microsoft has stated that it would not bring back support for older models.

Rumors say that now Intel’s 13th-gen processor is supported, along with the AMD’s Ryzen 7000 series.

Because of it’s required, Windows 11 doesn’t have many users.

Performance Boost by Disabling Memory Integrity

Consumers using Intel’s discrete graphics processor units for personal computers have seen a noticeable performance boost after disabling certain security safeguards.

Disabling Windows 11’s Memory Integrity setting is required to increase performance. However, it’s important to remember that, according to Microsoft, Memory Integrity ensures that only trustworthy drivers are installed into the operating system, making it difficult for an attacker to sneak in malicious code.

This Memory Integrity function will be automatically enabled on all brand-new Windows 11 systems to show Microsoft’s dedication to security.

What is the Three Finger Salute from Microsoft?

The Three Finger Salute is terminology for the Ctrl+Alt+Del keyboard shortcut established by IBM PC co-creator and engineer David Bradley.

It’s common practice to use the three keys whenever a PC fails to load Windows or gets stuck during the boot process. You can lock the computer, switch users, log out, open the task manager, or restart the system by pressing them simultaneously.

Force Quit Apps Using End Task

The End Task button in the Windows Task Manager terminates any open or background application. If an application is unresponsive or frozen, the user can force it to close by using the End Task command rather than having to restart Windows.

The Windows Task Manager can be accessed by using Ctrl+Shift+Esc. Select the application you’d like to quit. Check “Status” to see what’s wrong if this program isn’t responding. Then, click “End Task”.

How to Delete Cookies

In your browser settings, you will find the clear browser data. With Google Chrome, click on the three dots on the top right corner of the browser. From there, scroll to More tools and a second list will show up. Click the Clear browser data option. Afterwards, a pop-up occurs, like the one below:

You can now clear whatever history, data, or files you’d prefer within certain time ranges. Incognito mode, a private browsing option, is a useful tool for those who would prefer only little information collected. And that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

Windows Search Tool

Windows search is the most efficient method to utilize when looking for certain files, documents, or applications using a keyword. As a short cut, it gets the job done well.

Windows 11 systems use a “magnifying glass” symbol for Windows Search on the taskbar, while Windows 10 computers feature a search box.

If you type a search term and then press Enter, the highlighted item in the search results will launch the program or file you specified. You may also use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate to the appropriate option.

Temporary Files on Windows OS

A temporary file is a file that is made to hold data while another file is being made or updated.

The temporary file (also known as a temp file) is deleted after the program has been closed. Temporary files can be used for a wide variety of purposes, from storing and transferring data to handling settings, assisting with data recovery, and coordinating access for numerous users.

Older versions of Windows saved temporary files in the C:WindowsTemp folder, whereas current versions of Windows save them in the AppData folder.

Enter “Disk Cleanup” into the Windows search box and choose “temporary files” from the resulting list. From there, you can remove all of them quickly.

Check Graphic Cards Temperature

The graphics card is the brains of any good gaming computer.

Graph cards are especially prone to irregularity and failure after months without being properly cared for and maintained. Obviously, the best way to maximize the usefulness of your GPU and lengthen its lifespan is to prepare for it in advance.

They are responsible for delivering fast frame rates (fps) when gaming and pushing high-definition graphics.

Start the Task Manager by pressing Ctrl+Shift+Esc, Ctrl+Alt+Del, or by right-clicking the Windows Start menu icon and selecting Task Manager to check the GPU temperature. Once inside, head to the tab labeled “Performance” and look for the GPU temperature reading.

Lockdown Mode Now Available

Lockdown Mode is a new security option available to iPhone and iPad owners in iOS 16 and iPadOS 16. Its purpose is to safeguard users from attacks launched by privately-held firms developing government-sponsored spyware.

In July, when it was still in beta, we let our readers know about it. You can now obtain it.

Users will first need to enable Lockdown Mode in the Settings app before they can put it to use. As a result, the OS will have better defenses and be more restricted, making it more difficult for hackers to gain access.
